Cell Phone Policy

ELECTRONIC DEVICES (CELL PHONES, GAMES, AND TOYS)

 

PS/IS 295Q prohibits the use of all electronic games, toys, and other electronic devices. Please do not allow your children to bring these types of items onto the school premises. Should your child produce a cell phone or other electronic device during the school day, it will be confiscated and held in the Principal’s office until parents/guardians come in to claim them in accordance with CR A412. Parents will be required to sign for the device; if it is not claimed in one month, it may be discarded.

 

Additionally, any student possessing a cell phone during New York State testing will have his/her phone removed and test results voided by the state. Collected cell phones may be returned at the end of the testing day. Our official cell phone policy is that cell phones must be off and concealed.
