HOMEWORK POLICY

All K – 8^th grade students will receive homework daily. Students will receive homework that is appropriate for their grade level. Please realize that homework is an extension of classroom activities and must be completed to sustain the learning process. If you notice your child is having difficulty completing homework on his/her own or finishing the work very quickly, please bring it to the classroom teacher’s attention as soon as possible. Also, please attend the “Meet the Teacher” night with your child’s classroom teacher to discuss the policy set forth by each staff member.

HOMEWORK REQUESTS FOR ABSENTEES

Students are responsible for completing work covered or assigned during his/her absence.  Assignments that are not made up will negatively affect the student’s grades.  Teachers are NOT obligated to have work prepared for the student beforehand as it interferes with teaching responsibilities and is often not possible due to the nature and content of the subject.
